I've tried searching for the answer but can't seem to find it.

I have 2006 XR and looking to put a Short Ram Intake on it. I want the K&N Typhoon kit but on the K&N website they only have one for the XRS. A couple websites list one with a part # of 69-8600TR which is for the 03-04 XR but will this fit the 06??? So far the only one I can find is the Cosmo Racing SRI. Pretty cheap.....is it any good? Thanks in advance for any help.

you will need to buy a breather filter (about 5$)
and a cap (about 2$)
to make it work...you will not get a C.E.L though =] if you need more info on how to install it p.m me

I know a guy in scarborough selling a like new k&n short ram that he had professionally modified at a welding shop specifically to fit it on an 05+ xr

the modified sri is clean and requires no breather filter.

i sent him this thread and hopefully he chimes in.
