I never actually thought about inspection when i was painting my tail lights, but..would i fail with the red out tails?

Are you talking about a smog check?

Visual inspections?

I think if your tails were smoked black you would have problems.

technically you can get a ticket from a cop. but you should pass inspection if you can tell they are still red.


XR2003. Texas is a little more lenient on yearly Inspections than Cali.

Anyone know a good place to go for inspection where they really dont care about whats on your car in the Houston/Pearland Area?

As long as the refelctor9center of the brake light area) still "reflects' light then you are fine.
