JSP a well known manufacturer of spoilers and carbon fiber products is extending and offer to Matrix Owners to produce a Carbon Fiber hood with an inverted functional hood scoop. In order to produce such a product we will need 10 people for each style hood to commit to this product. A $50 deposit may be required and can be paypal'd to sales@gogoracer.com please do not send any money until we have 10 people signed up and we are sure there will be a deposit as the $50 is non refundable.

The cost of this hood will be $465 plus shipping so thats $415 after the initial deposit.

We are also offering the hood in Blue Carbon Kevaler and Silver Carbon kevaler. These hoods will be $80 more as the materials cost more.
The hood will be created using the Wet Carbon Fiber process and each piece will be tested for proper fitment. The hood will have an oem underside so it will latch like the oem hoods. The scoop will be functional as well so no modifications needed to open it up.

Shipping costs depend on where you are located but generally on a piece like this its around $100.

These prices are based on 10 people if we get 20 people we will catch another break in the price and each hood would be about $445.

Below is a picture of what the scoop will look like.

We will ship to anywhere in the US, Canada and Hawaii
Pickups available upon request we are located in tonawanda ny.

any pics of a blue carbon kevlar hood?
not sure ive seen it before
havock
ive got some at work ill post up on monday of what the blue looks like
TheGame7a
If you have any of the silver ,could you post some up as well?
BX_Matrix
i'd have to see an actual hood first, not photoshopped
the photshopped pic of maddigital's trix looks real good tho
dnm12
how is it a functional hood scoop, becuase it lets air in which is good no doubt, think it will clear TRD SC?

the air that goes inside your car from the front grill will be able to exit through the hood and take some heat away from it at the same time. the air that hits the grill gets trapped under your engine bay
scsi
i think a silver kevlar would look awesome on a lunar mist
Maddigital
Im in for the M3 in BCF. Again It has to fit with the SC. Coo. I will be picking up.

How do I sign up for the hoods? I am very interested in the blue carbon evo style hood. I need one very bad.
Djblackjack18
whats the deadline for this group buy???
TBone1980
I am totally down with the buy I just want the plain carbon fiber no special color with the heat sink.
havock
i want to give it 2 weeks for everyone to have a chance.. if we get all 10 then we will start early..

updated pics
dnm12
could i see a hood on a s/c matrix or a matrix at all I just have concern that the s/c won't clear, but I like the hood!
TheGame7a
COOL if you have a pic of the silver post it up, the blue looks nice if I had an indigo trix. If the silver looks HOT I would be down for an OEM one in silver C/F ( kevlar)
BX_Matrix
i'd like to see a real one a a matrix, any color
TheGame7a
JSP doesn't make a hood yet for the Matrix, the group buy is for them to be made.So you're not going to see one on a trix in this style (M3) if it isn't photoshopped. As for the OEM one it's the same as a reg. C/F but in color

would be kinda pointless to have a OEM style CF hood and not let the CF show it but i guess everyone's got their own style

It's like having a black CF hood on a black car, the CF wouldn't show, so a black car owner should get a light CF hood so it woud show?

People would still notice a silver CF hood on a silver car, but doesn't stand out like black CF, and to people not in the 'tuner' crowd, the black CF hood looks like an unpainted hood.

Couldn't have said it better myself MATR6, also I like the sleeper (aka- keep it on low) look because I like the look on peoples faces when they do a double take. They have that , he just made me feel dumb look on their mugs. :smt107 .
havock
i talked about my concerns about the sc if someone could give me a measurement of where the sc sits under the hood and how much clearence it has from the hood we could make sure proper fitment of the hood for sc'd trixes

Before I PM you Havock, whats the price of the OEM hood again?I remember you telling me $416 is it still the same?
BX_Matrix
^^i'd like a price for oem hood as well
have to see if i can squeeze it in the budget...
havock
$416 for regular cf and $496 for the kevlar colored.. oh yah plus shipping
kortik
which one is better CF or Carbon Kevaler?
havock
the difference between them is carbon kevlar is colored silver or blue.
havock
i thought we had people interested in this.. only one that said something was TheGame7a where is everyone else??? only a week and a half left..
kortik
$500+shipping is a good sum of $$, IF I can find this money in 1 1/2 weeks then I'd love to get the Blue Carbon Kevlar for my Indigo Ink.
jetboy
I said in the General thread that i cant commit for 2 months. cant get into a GB if i dont have cash for it. If its still around in a few months, i am gonna have to fight off the urge for silver.... and i dont think i will win :-D

i'll get back to you in a couple of days
Jacy
dang i would love to pick up a oem cf hood but 416 without shipping to hawai is insane. hope you guys can take advantage of this offer.
fractrix
If this was more towards spring i would be interested... like say april may... just cant do it right now.. sorry
dnm12
well being a businees buff perhaps you should anser the questions of your consumers, such as can you garuntee an exact fit or money and shipping back, will it fit over the S/C, will it cover it so close as to overheat the S/C? In my experience these hoods never fit quite right so thats my main concern
havock
we test proper fitment

as for the sc we are getting the measurements so that it will not sufficate it.. also carbon fiber displaces heat better.... it will not be a problem...
fractrix
all i know if this is available sometime in april i would be game more then likely... maybe you should push it off till spring when more people are likely to do some mods... just a thought...

but thanks for looking out for us...
TBone1980
I'm down with the hood buy let me know when its time.

Djblackjack18

jtjwrangler
I am in on the blue carbon.
TheGame7a
Hey havock update the list, looks like we're half way there I think, to get the hoods.
dnm12
I might be in if I can figure out the whole garuntee fit thing as well as the S/C issue but I might be down also can we get a look at the colors and the differences $420 is a lot of money I would like to see the colors pretty please
