Danstoy ITB's on a XRS. The car is up and running, but still need to work on some minor details.

The TB are on upside down for the matrix.
Should be the other way around. I have already fabricated an adapter plate to mount the stock TPS on the 4age throttlebody. If he put it on the other way the Throttle cable mounts right on the top. The way he has it now the throttle body cable mounts on the bottom. Red if he wants tell him to PM me I can help him with some of the stuff he might be having issues with. The only problem I have right now is that I am not running a standalone, so I can't run with out the MAF. My solution is too make a plenum that attaches to the ITB's |

Actually i think the only issues right now is that he still waiting for the velocity stacks. The car is running great with the Hydra.

ah hydra, I really wish I had one (IMG:http://matrixowners.com/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
Would have made my life easier for these ITB's. As for the Velocity stacks, there not cheap for what they are |

is there any update on these projects? well since rick was involved in an accident im sure that set him behind.... im sure he will get them done sooner then later even if its on someone elses car.. lol I'm so f'ed up right now. On one hand I want to see the project through. But on the other hand I know if I keep the trix that I will more then likely go FI. Plus these TB are not mine they are actually Nolat's, that I have some how pirated from him and he has said nothing about me having them for over a year. One day he will wake up and remember about them. (IMG:http://matrixowners.com/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Right now I am on the fence. Kinda thinking about selling the rig sans actual throttlebodies. If I put velocity stacks on them I am about 90% finished. I have made the mounting plate for head to ITB, made the TPS mounting bracket and the little slot adapter and the IAC adapter plate that needs to have a supply line for the indvidual cylinders. All in all not a lot of work. I will try to post pics next week. |

i'm actually talking to a guy who is willing to send me a set of itbs from a 4age for 180 shipped.
with that, i figure i'd need an adapter plate to mate the 4age itbs to the 2zz, various brackets for the throttle cable, a way to either attach the 2zz tps or adapt the 4age tps, a "vacuum rail" that would keep the stock vac system functional, and a plenum that would allow me to use the maf port on my injen cai rather than switching to a map. i already have a wide band and camcon which is probably sufficient to do the basic a/f tuning. my estimates are at $700-$1000 for the project including a self done street tune. i'm trying to talk myself into doing it. i figure the most expensive part will be the fab work on the adapter plate and the plenum. |

All of these ITB projects sound like a lot of work...so I'm gonna assume that the stock ITB's from the 20-valve 4a-ge are the best place to start.

I don't understand. And i have a 12" woofer and 6spk surround, it should sound great. They're just loud and obnoxious. |
