440Cc Injectors

14 August 2015 - 07:16 AM

Hey fellow MOers,

Looking for a set of 440cc injectors or really any working injectors that are larger than 2zz browns. I'm currently maxing out my injector duty cycle in the higher rpm range, causing a lull in power and it's only going to get worse come the cold weather.

If you are selling/know of someone selling any injector set that works with the zz engines, ranging from 370-440cc, please let me know.

Cheers :)

Sc Nose Rebuild.

15 November 2014 - 02:07 PM

Hey guys,

So I changed my SC belt this morning and I'm still getting noise from around the SC nose. SC idler pulley was good and the SC nose pulley itself was good as well. The coupler inside wasn't making any noise when I was spinning it by hand, so that just leaves the nose bearings.

Anyone ever done a nose rebuild? I've seen the kits, but the TRD SC is an M45 IIRC, and I've only seen it for the M62?

Anyways, where can I get an M45 nose rebuild kit? Also, any pointers on how to change it?

Damn You Spec!

06 October 2014 - 04:25 PM

So if it's not enough that I had to challenge putting a Corolla Sportivo C60, (pretty sure a c62) that was converted for an MR2-S, then back to a matrix c60, (customizing the shifter shaft and all) now we deal with a company's human error.

Got the car put back together last night and viola! She's alive! Oh wait, that clutch pedal has no pressure... s***! Pulled the tranny out today and oh look, the clutch is *almost* the same.

A matrix clutch has a 21 spline centre shaft and the clutch has 22... <_< Called Spec and after sending pics and talking back and forth, they're sending out a new solid disc today, (arriVing Thursday) on their dime, of course.

Here's how close it was and why we missed it the first time, even with the alignment tool...

Look at the top left corner when you zoom in on the pic. You'll see that the one extra spline sets the teeth off. The rest lined up but this tiny little error causes the clutch to not engage/disengage.

Bastards!
