I just got an '06 Matri-Slug XR, 5-speed stick. Been driving/working on Toyotas since the late 70's and am really surprised how sluggish the throttle response it. Geez, seems like a 2 sec lag between my right foot inputs, and when the ECU finally decides to give me some more throttle. Yes, I know its all electronic. Tried squirting some oil on the throttle shafts in case they were crapped up and sticky, but didn't help.
Thanks

Ok thanks. I'll look into it.

I still can't believe how horrible your mpg is.

Seems legit, but for $300 CAD, I'd like to see it in action first or here some testimonies from anyone on here that has it.

Anyone running one? @ Barber: did you test one or know someone that has? Was it worth it?

From what I heard from one forum, it's basically a waste of money. It makes it seem like its more responsive by making the gas pedal "think" you are pushing it harder. For example if you push 25% throttle, it will adjust and put throttle at 35% even though you are pushing it at the 25% level. I dunno it that makes sense lol but here are tow other forums that have talked about it...

Maybe someone who has actually tried it can chime in with their take...
