Bear with me..... this may be long.
I live next to two horrible towns (by the end of this post you will know why they are soo bad). I am a little worried about a set of lug nut keys I had ordered. There were supposed to be two keys and I only received one (not even the right one, won't work). My father said the yellow envelope seems as if it was opened because some of the paper ripped where the glue would have been. I return back from Poland Wednesday, so I can call the company and figure out what went wrong. But my ultimate worry is that my rims may be gone when I wake up one morning (I park in front of the house where there is easy access to the street).
The type of lug nuts I need have to be open end inverted lug nuts. By this, I mean the lug nut key needs to have a male end and go on the inside of the nut to tighten and not the outside. There just isn't enough room for the key to go on the outside of the nut because the rims are just that way. Question to you cats is, what is the best brand out there for lug nuts and that have that type as I have mentioned.
I've looked for a few days and can't find anything worthwhile. Oh also the depth where the nut goes is an inch (25.4mm for you people up north [get the reference?]), so even an extended lug nut that is at least 50mm or more should be sufficient, no?
Kind Of Worried About This One.b

I would go to a reputable tire shop they should have something that fits your needs, but might cost a bit more than ordering and doing it yourself. With rims I rather be safe than sorry, a little extra money to save you from waking up with your car on milk crate or worse, no matter where you're located you never know. My friend lived in this really good neighborhood in bayside, ny, but had junction produce rims ($5000 for the set) on his 350z he made sure you needed 5 different keys to take one each of them, and turns out it was a good idea he woke up one morning at 4 am and had to chase some guy who was trying to jack him(only manage to take 2 off 1 rim before he noticed.)

So I should get at least 2-5 different sets? Also the different lug nuts won't really cause a difference in ride will it? You can't really notice the minimal weight difference or can you? Is it bad for your tired or axles or anything?

Ultimately it won't matter what you have on, it they really want them they will get them, but the harder you make it for them the less desireable they get, because of the extra time it takes to get them.
If you think that they have the key for your wheels then I would change out the locks immediately, because that will be an easy steal. Get whoever you have available to do it for you, if your car is where it is vulnerable right now. Good luck

I don't think that it would matter but I can be wrong. Considering if you get the same brand for the sets the weighs will balance out overall an the should all have slightly different keys. Only annoying part is when if you ever get a flat lol

Ok thanks for the responses guys. I guess ill just buy 2 or 3 different sets and mix and match. I don't mind the issue when I have a flat or anything. At least i will have satisfaction that my wheels aren't that easy to steal.

I have had my rims on for a year and a half now without locks.
Just get a set of rays extended lugs/locks. and you should be fine.
