I almost installed a Pioneer H/U into my car, but I haven't been able to find the parking brake switch or wire. On my H/U harness there is a light green wire that is labeled parking brake. I removed the center console and see a red and black wire connected to the parking brake going under the carpet toward the dash. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

what kind of head unit are you installing? as far as i know the only reason why they have the parking brake wire is to keep you from playing video while driving.
Just ground it.

I'm a little late to the game here but danimal86 is correct, but the parking break switch is under the center console at the base of the parking break lever.
