Here is a short video of a magnaflow 14210 muffler installed on a 2010 matrix 1.8 w/K&N intake. Its a pretty good fit, its smaller than OEM but much louder. I didn't rev the engine too hard, so you won't hear it booming off. If anybody here is thinking of getting a muffler try this one.

How long have you had your magnaflow muffler? Has the noise gotten louder over time?

i've had it for almost a year now. its still the same. kinda quiet. most of the time i like it. until i roll with my buds with is350s, civics, 370zs, etc.

we have the same exact set up btw. k&n and magnaflow =]

Hahaha yea K&N and magnaflow FTW! My magnaflow is kind of loud. Maybe its due to the cold weather up north but man when I start the engine I can REALLY hear the muffler now. Before it was sooo silent. And when I drive the car I have to increase the volume in my stereo in the car a bit more because the muffler is loud. I don't know, it could be just me, I don't really roll with my buddies and there modified cars so I can't tell how loud it is compared to theres. I can tell you this though there is a lot more cabin noise from the muffler now.

some people also get a tip just so it looks better instead of having just a pipe stick out. all the other piping should be provided by your mech who will be welding your muffler together.

pretty sure there's only 2 outlets... the inflow and out flow.

he's welding one outlet, then you can see the other outlet.
