Hi! Is it possible to swap it? If possible, how hard is it? Any modifications? Want to changed my base bumper to an Xrs bumper.

Yes. You need:

- The bumper
- The upper grille (you can keep the old upper grille, but they don't line up exactly)
- The chins/centre piece if you get the XRS style bumper.
- Possibly the fender liners.
- Lots and lots of clips.

Ok. I was looking around for a new front bumper with holes already on it and found this site http://www.rockauto.com/ . Anybody ordered from them? But do i need to modify anything to make it fit or they're the same size? What's a fender liner? Is that the plastic thing thats covering the engine around the front wheel? What kind of clips do i have to buy? I need to make sure everything is right before i start my summer project.

Clips are 52161C for the long clips and 90467-08185 for the short clips but use the bottom picture as a reference.....

Shipping sucks with rockauto.....but they are okay I guess.

just go to dismantling place around your area im sure theres tons, you just gotta know where to look, i had an 05 base and swap it with 04 xrs bumper but then i sold it and got a 05xrs bumper and it still fits just fine, you can also use the clip from your bumper but the xrs has more clips and screw so get a few in lowes or someting. goodluck

Yeah i saw the shipping, its like almost buying 3 bumper covers after the shipping charges. Anywhere else i could buy online, its ok if its unpainted. If i cant find an 03 or 04 front bumper, do you guys know the part number of the front valance/lip of an 05-08 xrs? I like the aggressive look of the old xrs but if its going to cost me that much, i'll go with the other one instead.

There is no oem front lip for the 05+. There's a discontinued after market one if I remember correctly

I think these are for the 05-08 bumper. I saw the howto on removing the front bumper and its different. Also, it has a metal clips. 07trix, if you cant get some, just let me know the part number and i'll buy it.

The long ones are on every year. And I will try to get u some, if not I'll get u the part #.

Check the clips here. Im talking about the white ones, to hold the front and rear valances. And also, there's 2 black metal clips to hold the front center valance to the bumper. http://matrixowners....d-remove-chins/ Oh yeah, the long ones is for the center of the bumper, i think i dont have that one too. lolz

Ah the white ones. Now I see what u want. Those are special order. I'll get u the part number for them this week. I know I got the long ones in stock since they break all the time but those are what we at work hoard since we don't stock them lol I'll check my tool box and see if I have a phew at work that I can send you.

I have the part number already. How long will it take for the dealer to get it, if i order from them. I thought the bumper swap would be easy, just buy the bumper, the valances and that's it. I never thought of the clips and the protectors.
And what are these things for the rear center valance "cicled in red"? I would love to see a matrix without the rear center valance. That thing cost more than 200$. I might not put that to save money.
