Not sure what its called but i had my stereo upgraded and they effed up the silver trim around the shifter... It no longer stays in place... Anywayyy has anyone bought those trims off ebay or anywhere else? And how did they look??

If at all possible post up some pics of the problem so a better determination can be made on how to correct the problem.
The first thing that comes to my mind is, have the person performing the install to pay for the damaged piece, and have them purchase it from your local Toyota dealer.

+1 they should pay for that piece!
I have taken my dash apart before and that trim piece is definitely a pain to remove, but I don't see why they would have to remove the shifter trim from the main dash, they come apart as one piece.
It is likely you can fix how it sits yourself, probably not even a big deal, but first and foremost take it back to the stereo install place!
PS: automatic or manual?

sounds like auto. that silver trim doesn't simply POP out. the stereo guys prob tried to pop it out and 'broke' it.. but if you take out the entire piece, you can glue it back on i think....
i know this because when i wanted to paint the silver part, i couldn't take it off without breaking the plastic tabs in the back, so i just masked everything

Its manual... Its a separate piece then the rest idk why they popped it out or if they bumped it but i think they broke a clip or something... I didnt want them to be silver so i was gunna replace them anyway just wasnt sure how those kits from ebay work... ill be calling them to replace it for now

You cant really see it but its the bottom part(the u shape) its not sitting right and its like flapping at the bottom
