Hi,

I am trying to upgrade my stereo to a gps dvd system, but I found the new gps dvd system only have 2 jacks to plug in where in the stock stereo there are 4 jacks and all those 4 has wire plug in. Does anybody know what those 2 for? Do we need those two?

Thanks.

well if your new matrix had steering wheel controls, those plugs might be for that.... being that I have an 06 Matrix I don't know if the newer matrix's have the steering wheel controls as an option.

I also read this on the 2nd Gen Matrix spec page: Standard: AM/FM CD player with MP3/WMA playback capability, four speakers, auxiliary audio jack and auto sound leveling

So it could be for any of those options as well.......

Most likely steering wheel controls and aux input.

The longer plug on the left side includes the aux input, wheel speed input, steering wheel control etc. the 2nd plug is for sat or ipod input or both(I can't remember which)
