I have an 03 XRS with 180k miles on it. At this point I may have adjusted the brake cable as much as possible and the car still rolls back. I was wondering if anyone had a hot-to or any advice on replacing the parking brake shoes etc. Thanks in advance.

You can't adjust the cable. If you adjusted the cable, you did it wrong.

You adjust the parking brake by turning the wheel inside the rear rotor.

O I had been told to adjust the cable at the lever under the center console. So your recommendation would be to un- do that and adjust it in the rear? Do I need any special tools? or is it pretty straight forward? Thanks for the help guys, I have clearly gotten bad advice to tighten the cable.

Undo what you did at the lever, and then turn the little wheel inside the rotor. All you need is a flat head screwdriver.

Thread resurrectus maximus...

I'm looking to make my e brake a little tighter as well. Where is the wheel you turn inside the rotor with the screwdriver?

If you look at the rotor, there's a little rubber cap on it. That cap is for access to the wheel.

Turn the rotor so the cap is near the very bottom centre.

Remove the cap, it'll be in behind there. You can shine a light in there to see it if you can't find it with a screwdriver.
