Did everything the same as I usually did. The website was being crazy while I was doing it and everything turned out weird. Anyway here it is:

Hey guys,

This is my how-to on putting the rear bumper spoiler/valance on a Matrix that did not have the spoiler/valance initially. (Base Model & some XR's). Please guys do not ask me where I got the spoiler/valance from. I got it off another user!

Discretion

In this tutorial you will be cutting holes into the bumper in order to get the spoiler/valance on. It will take some patience! I am not responsible for you being a dumb with your bumper.

What You'll Need

1. Exacto Knife

2. Bubble Wrap or Soft Cloths

3. Spoiler/Valances

4. 10 x Retainers

5. 2 x 10mm Bolts

6. Torque Wrench w/ 10MM head

7. Screw Driver

How to Install Spoiler/Valance

1. After you have taken the rear bumper off you're going to want to clean the inside of the bumper but make sure you lay it out on something soft like bubble wrap, etc.

2. After you have cleaned the inside, look carefully and find markings similar to the picture below. This is where you're going to start cutting with the exacto knife. There are going to be 10 markings similar to that of the picture below and two other smaller markings that are for where the 10mm screws are going to go.

3. Begin cutting with the exacto knife but be very patient with it. It should look something like this:

4. Once you are done cutting the holes put the spoilers on and shove the retainers in, in order to fasten the spoiler on but make sure you here the retainer clicks fully in.

5. After you are done doing that put the bumper on same way you took it off. Once you're all done it should look something like this:

Hope this helped. Post up any questions that you have and I will try to help.

Your car looks pretty freakin awesome. That paint always looks sooooo nice. Maybe its just those HDRs you always like to do. haha

one thing i think you should do is have your tail lights color matched to your paint.
i think it might make it flow a little better. but i guess what you have now probably makes the wheels pop a little better.

this is what i was talking about though

lol thanks man. No HDR in that picture though :P. And I don't want everything matching too much. I just want it to be dark but regardless the color of my car will be different in about 2-3 weeks. Update coming soon on my bragging rights page :)
