(A few overlayed, best run in bright green cut short :()

*This was copied from the Cobalt build but all of it will apply to any car, we offer "stealth" Turbo Kits for almost any car!*

This is built on a 09 Cobalt SS - Turbo. We could easily offer the same setup for either XRS or XR Matrix/Vibes. These new Turbo's are incredible. The give you great low end response like a smaller turbo with no drop in top end power like a larger turbo. It also has a integrated External WG style Internal WG along with a built in Bypass Valve! No need to buy and plumb a EWG or BOV, it's all right there B)

My impressions of our kit:
When you pop the hood it looks like nothing is done! In fact, you have to really look to see if it's even a turbo car. That part of it I love! All of the other cars we have made Turbo Kits for in the past were the same way. So, that was our main goal when making this kit. The CP from the turbo to the FMIC (what we would normally call Upper CP on SS/TC's) is routed under the engine and is NOT the lowest point on the car. The donor car was quite low and we have yet to hit that pipe on anything!

First startup with the kit on, you can hear an immediate difference in the exhaust note. It sounds much deeper then stock and just plain sounds sick when WOT! With the base map loaded we took the car out for a first drive. I was expecting a little bit of lag but in reality it drives very similar to stock, VERY responsive at any RPM in any gear! (again, comparing to stock SS/TC) In fact, the spool-up is almost identical making the car great for around town or Daily Driving. When you look at the Dyno Graphs posted below you will see it performs very similar to the stock turbo low end Torque wise. The big difference is the additional 70-80 whp up top. The car pulls hard right away and doesn't quit until you shift!

Last night we took the car to the dyno to run the new kit. I was feeling like it was around 380whp on the butt dyno. Sure enough, the first pull it did 390whp at 24psi. We tried several scenarios on the dyno, all netting similar results. Little more boost, the car knocked up top with similar to stock peak timing. Dropped it down just a tiny bit and tried a little more timing, similar results. The best run of the night it popped off a coupler mid pull :( You will see in the graph it was on it's way to being the best run of the night. All of the pulls were between 380-400whp and 380-400wtq as well. He is only running Pump Gas for right now, and without Meth. So as we kept adjusting the car we saw immediately this was a limiting factor. Jason also needed his car back and we decided to just leave it there and play is safe for now. We plan on running his car with E85 to bump those numbers up around 450whp!!!

In case you have been living under a rock or just don't know much about Turbo's:
The EFR line of turbochargers was born out of an internal BorgWarner Turbo Systems program labeled Advanced Aftermarket Products or AAP.

The program was engineered by a cross-functional team that began with the proverbial clean-sheet of paper. No legacy products, no preconceived notions of what a turbocharger could or could not have; no restrictions. The aerodynamics for the product line were selected using a range of optimized combinations that would give users turbocharger solutions anywhere between 250 and 1000 horsepower capability per turbo. Next, a list of every notable design characteristic for an engine boosting device was tabled. Specific interest was given to new ideas that had never been formed in metal or had never been combined into an aftermarket turbo.

The result is the new EFR (Engineered for Racing) line of turbochargers from BorgWarner. These turbochargers contain a bevy of key attributes such as Gamma Ti turbine wheels, dual ceramic ball bearing cartridges and investment cast stainless steel turbine housings. Collectively, those features help give the EFR line its innovative appeal and will provide a breakthrough experience in durability, device responsiveness and installer/user satisfaction.

This is a technical briefing on the technology inside them:

Every model features the integrated WG and BPV. They are all Dual BB center housings with Titanium Wheels. This is the cream of the crop for Turbo's at an affordable price!

That is amazing! ~400whp out of a 2.0-2.2 can't be surpassed in term of HP per engine displacement!...

To accommodate this to a 1zz (base Matrix, XR, Vibe), how much HP are you estimating from 130hp stock ? With and/or without headers, intake and exhaust. That said, can the 1zz/2zz handle this custom turbo kit without upgraded internals ?

easily 200whp on a 1zz and 250 on a 2zz. This turbo has much more potential then even posted above.

If anyone wants to donate their XR or XRS car to us for a couple weeks, I will do a special rate so we can test one out on their car. You will get everything listed, installed, tuned AND dyno runs included. You will have access to a folder on my website with pics all through the process and you can come to the dyno day when we run the car. If you are interested, PM me and we can go over it. Serious Inquiries ONLY please!

Its like any other turbo kit, in moderation it will be fine. To get the most from the turbo and car, build the engine and you will make even more power. But there's nothing saying you HAVE to.

I can drop it off between 2-4pm, is that going to be enough time?

The BW turbos are great and if I am not mistaken is what is powering MWR 800whp+ celica

This is a GREAT opportunity, that someone on here needs to take Nick up on.

I've done it...
1. I bought the TK.com kit w/NewCelica.com's group buy.
2. I spent a weekend @ my buddy's garage(Toyota tech), helping to install most of the kit.
3. I rented a car dolly, and dragged the car 3 hours north to Monkey Wrench Racing.
4. I paid MWR to handle the exhaust, electronics, and the dyno/tune.
After about three weeks and lots of $$ later, she was done. It was a hassle, but well worth it. :P

Everything done under one roof, PLUS a $$ discount...that's a deal!!
If I wasn't already boosted...

You are running a T25 turbo already, we could easily adapt and swap to a EFR on your car for a lot less then the total kit price ;) Just sayin! lol

How easy would it be to pop one of these turbo's in a 2002 WRX? Since the car already has FI, would there be a lot to change or just a matter of getting the turbo in and then tuning the car?
How do I treat Lift withdrawal??? 2.0L Turbo helped but the 3.8 Twin Turbo might just do the trick :-)

We would need to make a custom Up Pipe, Down pipe, and prolly intake and adapter for the TMIC. Not too hard tho! We were installing on a 05 LGT Wagon but we could never get our hands on the larger versions, we waiting almost 3 months before bailing on it. We went with a Precision 5857 Billet Wheel instead :)
