Hi there, I'm getting ready to get everything for my clutch work. I'm currently on 120k with the stock clutch, and it's starting to slip under acceleration. SO i'm turning to MO.com for help if i'm missing anything for the work.

I'm also only 16, so please forgive me if it takes me awhile to update you guys on the parts and such because i work part time. haha.

So here's my list of items i need to get:

ACT Clutch HDSS

Fidanza Flywheel

MWR ARP Bolt Set

So for you guys, does this sound like the ideal set up for my car? Am I missing anything else? Please let me know if i should go a different that's better then stock, but equivalent to this. Thanks a lot. :)

Sounds like a reliable setup. I just recently put the exedy stg 1 in my car and I love it! However I kept the stock FW and had it machined. I didnt' do the clutch myself, i paid a co-worker who works on cars. But make sure you do put GL-4 specified 75w 90 oil. There are ones that say they meet gl-4 AND GL-5. Don't use it. Go with Redline MT-90 synthetic, it smoothes out the notchiness of our c60 trannys and will not cause your gears to grind like GL-5 oil WILL. It's a little pricey at almost 13 bucks/qt, but worth it. Good luck with your clutch job!

alright. i also have one question. I asked one of the shop what fluid they would use for my car and they said this,"Yes, it calls for 75w90 fluid. We would use 75W140, WHICH is a better replacement fluid as well as being synthetic. It is 26.95 a quart and yuou need need 2.5 qts. If yuou would like we could use a synthetic 75w90 which is 17 a quart. i would recommend the 75w140." Does this sound true to anyone? I want to make sure it's alright.

Also, the brand they said they would be using would be BG.

Don't know, that sounds like a really thick oil. I got my info from here

Clutch data- taken from http://thematrixgara...?num=1251907384

Manual transmissions in the Matrix take 75w90 GL-4 gear oil.

GL5s that are sulphur free are OK too, but not just any GL5 -- they must be yellow metal safe, as the C59 and C60 feature brass syncros.

The hydraulic clutch line gets its fluid from the brake master cylinder.

So i opened up the box, here are the items:

Alignment Tool:

Clutch:

Pressure Plate:

Now, I do have a question though. These packages for the clutch and pressure plate are vacuumed sealed right? meaning there should not be any movement or air between them. but, both the clutch and plate have one hole in them and seems to have been moving around in their package. No harm?

Boble, my exedy didnt' come all vacuum packed, just protected with styrofoam and non airtight plastic. I think it's fine. They're going to be doing all sorts of rubbing and movement once you put it in.
