[Solar_Panel]

I've been searching day after day for one of those charts that show the production number of how many were made in that year, that color, and the model, with these accessories (i.e. sunroof, etc.) I saw that one for the colors and what years they were made in but i cant seem to find the one with actual, ## out of #### or whatever.

Anybody know of anything?

Matrix sales are lumped in with the Corolla. You'd be lucky to find much at all. Only the Big T knows the actual break-down.

Well if you have a xrs trix, you can always say its one of 2500. but unfortunately we didn't get the numbered badge like the M theory series got.

Where did you find the production numbers for color and year I wouldn't mind seeing that.

i wish there were a way to figure out how many in a particular year....

as for the color and years made, i found it sticky'd in the Appearance Section:

Color and Year Chart

But it doesn't give production numbers...

So i went to the toyota dealer and they gave me a coulpe of leads to get some of the information. So, hoping to here good news to the call tomorrow

I called them up and the lady says that they aren't allowed to release that information... BUT i was entitled to a free brochure of all the different toyota models!! So i guess i did make some progress

good find, too bad its for the CA production. when i called, they said the sold around 15.5k matrix-es in 2004 as a whole, the lady wasn't very descriptive

No I think it is 2500 per model year for the xrs. Just like the M-Theory, but we didnt get the cool little unique badge on the center console.

that number could be fairly accurate. I would say around 15 percent of those were the xrs. 68 percent xr, 18 percent base. Thats just a guess though basing 2500 xrs a year as a percentage of 15.5k

Solar_Panel, I think there is an important post on this thread by kapklo that we missed (post #39)

He gives us a break down of XRS production per model year:

MY03 1946 of 14741 = 13.2% (678 auto)
MY04 465 of 17779 = 2.6%
MY05 346 of 28128 = 1.2%
MY06 25 of 4661 = 0.5%

On the very first post, kapklo mentions that for MY05 and MY06, 20102 Matrixes were sold in Canada, of those 172 were XRS. If you compare the numbers for the MY breakdown above and the numbers for the Canada sales in the first post, you can induce that the MY breakdown actually refers to Canadian and US sales of the Matrix!

In 2005 and 2006 combined, Toyota sold 32789 Matrixes, 20102 of those in Canada and 12687 in the US. Of those, 371 were XRSs, where 172 were Canada sales.


So it is very likely that those figures actually represent global XRS sales.
Anyone mind if I spearhead an XRS registry project?
