2003 matrix xrs DRL

Why did a make another one you may ask? Because there is so much confusion and so many different ways of doing this that I had a hard time deciding which one to do!

At the end of the day I did this, took me 1 minute and YES IT WORKS!!! Please don’t trash this thread with other ways or what worked or didn’t work for you because I don’t care! Keep it nice and simple!

It’s the red and white wire, just cut the sucker and stop thinking about it to much! Leave it hanging to tape it! It still works FINE!

So, uh, does this also disable auto-lights at dusk?

Yes it does, it totally removes all auto light functions. you now must manually turn on your lights. Tthe on/ off switch actually works now! Man over machine!

so if I wanted to put led strips in my headlights or have my fogs as drl I can just hook the power to the red wire that comes out of that box and it should work?

for fogs I would run the wire to a switch then to the lights for the on/ off option?

No, not without re wiring your headlight switch and adding in a few relays.

I might just run my aftermarket fogs..to an ignition switch so as soon as the car is running they com on, but have a toggle for them to... relays sound too hard for my knowledge
