Looking at a 2009 Matrix S. Automatic, Alloys, Sunroof, Nautical Blue.
MSRP is 22,075.00
Dealer offer is 18,199 including the current $1500 rebate.
Invoice is 20,399.00. They're going $100 over invoice, plus I also qualify for a "college grad" discount ($400) and a "active military" discount ($400)
So
22,075 MSRP
20, 399 INVOICE
20,499 $100 OVER INVOICE MINUS
1500 CASH BACK MINUS
800 IN ADDITIONAL DISCOUNTS =
$18,199
Decent deal?

I think as long as you are getting a good finance rate that is a great deal. Your saving like $800 compared to other people just for the discounts and they are giving you this number because everyone is struggling to sell, even Toyota, which I am sad to say. But I think it is a great deal, that's a good color too because I don't see it that often, and I work at a Toyota dealership.

Another dealer just countered with a better offer -
Same car, 18,000.00 even. HIs MSRP was 22,250.00
Going to drive up tomorrow and drive it. Most likely pick it up!

thats cheaper than my 06. But look into the financing. The other dealer with the better offer might have a higher interest rate. This is providing you finance through the dealer. It helps to do the math, and know what your paying in the end. It sounds like a good deal
