nice! i used to sell nissans & i gotta say that if you were going to get an Altima you have to get the V6 model. do take it for a test drive. it's fun. what's even more fun is the Altima SE-R with the 6 speed. that's a pimp ride I was up to 100 in like no time. ;)

Go ahead. It's only 25mpg vs 35 mpg. At $1.00/Liter or more? You'll feel it in your pocketbook soon enough...

I'm not jumpin ship yet. To be honest, it would have to be a really sweet deal for me to be able to afford it. It's just that I have another little one on the way, and 3 car seats in the back of the trix is goona be a little tight.

Well, I'm not gettin the Altima. :D

There are only 2 things about it, that I like better than my trix.

1 - It's WAY faster ;) :D
2 - It would be easier to fit 3 child car seats in.

It's a nice enough car, fastest I've ever driven.
The throw of the shifter is horrible. From 1st to 2nd is almost twice as far as my Matrix stock shifter.

The Price on the sticker was $22,995 can. I asked him for his best cash price, and he came back with $22,225. ;)

That's $745. What a stupid f***. I'm surprised he could look me in the eye when he told me. I checked the Black book, and it came up at $18,900.
He told me wholesale was $22,225.

What an a******.

actually the 4 banger does about 29 mpg highway & the V6 does about 28 mpg highway. not too much less for more power & speed. the only thing you'll really need to pay more for is the car itself. ;)

That's 29mpg *HWY*, Stevie... My Vibe gives me 42-45mpg Hwy. (:

I hear ya', though. The Altima is on my list of 'nice-to-haves', with the V6. I think if I was going to splurge, I'd just grab a '97-98 BMW 540i for around $14-$18k, just to say I owned one. Lots of room for the kids, and more power than the Altima. And to Hell with mileage. (:

You could always use your cargo net in the back for the 3rd kid. (:

6 speed standard on the SE-R, 5 speed manual or auto on the SE & the SL models.
