4300k = OEM BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Volvo bulbs, D2S or D2R (S for projectors, R for reflective setups) made by Phillips or Denso or Osram.
5000K = strobe/electric white/blue and the further up you go, the more blue, less white, less usuable light. They say at 6000k the blue glare from highway signs becomes painful and near unreadable, but looks cool if you like blue. And anything not 4300k or 5000k (called Ultinons) are not made OEM by Phillips/Osram.

4100k approx. = sunlight, most usable output
Actually, the colour temperature of sunlight is closer to 5500K.
