How to: Removing door panels

Take of the screw behind the door handle and the screw in the pocket for your hand to go for closing the door.
If you have manual windows, it might be a pain to remove the clip holding the crank.
For automatic, just unplug the assembly going to the switch.

If you have one of these door panel tools the job would go a a lot easier.

If your lucky you won't break any plastic clips when you remove the panel(s). If you do. Don't sweat it. Go to the dealer and get some more. They are not expensive.
You can take them off without using this tool. Of course making sure you took out the screws and removed the sail panels (front) reach the door panel towards the hinges. There should be place where you can grab the panel securely. Another way is to pull at one of the corners until you free that part of the panel. Pull one clip out at a time...in other words don't try pop the door panel off all at once. Get one clip off and move to the next one.
I wouldn't use a screwdriver to remove the door panel...could really mess things up. (Just my .02).

edit:
Also, if you have power windows/locks, make sure you disengage the connection to the controls connected to the panel after popping the clips out.

holy whoring-thread-revival, batman!
haha, packing foam? are you planning to be able to put your windows down?
i've had my panels off like 10 times a piece, and i have yet to break a clip off...i dont use tools to do it, just start from the bottom corner and work my way up, clip by clip.
